Hand sanitizer with biologically active phytocomponents

The objective of the project is to develop a hand sanitizer with biologically active phytocomponents with specific antimicrobial, antioxidant and hand skin damage healing properties.

Project result is created prototype of a hand sanitizer with skin protective and / or healing properties studying the specific antibacterial and antioxidant properties of phytocomponents and evaluating its synergistic effect. It is expected that the developed product will not only perfectly disinfect hands, but also reduce the skin's sensitivity to sanitizers, splitting, itching, as well as even treat existing skin lesions, wounds for which the use of conventional sanitizers is not recommended.

Undergoing activities: research and development of the product, purchased and installed computer equipment, a set of data collection and processing tools, certification of the product and production process according to the certificate of good manufacturing practice (GMP).

Project implementation period is 17 months, from 24 February 2021 to 30 June 2022.

Project is implemented under the policy instrument COVID-19 R&D, No. 13.1.1-LVPA-T-858-01-0032 „COVID-19 MTEP“.

Project is financed from European regional development fund, as European Union response to Covid-19 pandemic measure.
